Sphinx and Pyramids of Giza – The Pyramids of Giza are a spectacular sight. These massive stone structures took extraordinary efforts of people for its construction. They are the only remaining monuments of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The majestic Sphinx stands amidst the pyramids and it is the largest stone structure built by man.


Egyptian Museum – This museum has a fine collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and is a must see for those interested in learning and knowing about such artifacts.

Ibn Tulun – This is a very beautiful mosque and it was completed in 879 AD by Ahmad Ibn Tulun, founder of the Tulunid Dynasty. It is also one of the oldest mosques in Cairo.


Citadel – This monument stands as an epitome of medieval warfare. It can be seen clearly from Cairo’s eastern skyline and is a must see for every tourist. Situated on a spur of limestone, this monument houses a number of museums, ancient mosques and other ancient site which reveals much about the city’s culture and history.

Al-Azhar Mosque – This mosque was built by Caliph Muezz Li-Din Allah and is also the abode of the world’s oldest universities.
